I just came out of a secure IRIS research lab and it was nothing but safety and monotony. I could use a little danger and unpredictability after that.

Besides, you get a bunch of Liminals in one place, things are bound to go wrong from time to time.

It's more than just the usual Liminal station hijinks. Megafauna, short-circuiting electronics and extreme weather events are typical. Enodia is the only place where you might lose your powers altogether.

This chaos is actually why I applied for the transfer. I was studying Liminal megafauna and highly irradiated marine creatures before I became a Liminal, and I wanted to get back into hands-on work. Enodia's experiencing an explosion in my field.

Soooo... now that you know a bit about me, how did you end up at Enodia? You're extremely well-qualified. Probably could have gotten yourself stationed anywhere.

Which project? I might have heard of it.

I joined Enodia when it first opened five years ago. You're right, any station would be lucky to have me. But here, I'm one of the division's most senior researchers, with my own lab and full autonomy, and I get first look at anything involving the most active rift in the world.

Sheesh, probably not. It was mostly about Liminal physiology and biochemistry, how pharmaceuticals interact with all of our unique issues.

So I'm in the presence of a founding member. I'd love to hear what you know about the local wildlife. I know that your focus is a little more broad, but I bet you can point me in the right direction and give me some important insight. Maybe over dinner?

It's not my field, but I've actually read a lot about Liminal drugs. Do you do work on reversing Liminal powers?

Nope, that field's a dead end. We are what we are, forever and ever. I was working with people like Raine Riley on safe biochem and pharmaceuticals for Liminals.
